It seems that God of War developer Santa Monica Studio is cooking up something new, but what could it be?
Without question, Sony’s Santa Monica Studio is best known for bringing us theGod of Warseries since its inception in 2005 for thePlayStation2. Since then, the series has grown more popular and arguably better with each new release.

The most recent entry in the series isGod of War Ragnarökreleased in 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, before being ported to PC. This critically acclaimed game then benefited with the launch of the awesomeValhallaexpansionin 2023, which was given away for free.

At this time, we don’t know when the next God of War game might arrive, despite theValhallaDLC potentially teasing that the series could be headed toEgyptorSouth Americanext. We’ll just have to patiently wait for publisher Sony to tease us with more Kratos goodness in the coming months or years.
However, a next project fromSanta Monica Studiomay have been spotted online after a ResetErausernoticed a LinkedIn profile of an art director at the development studio that teases a brand new IP is on the way.
A relevant section of Glauco Longhi’s LinkedIn profilereads: “Santa Monica Studio’s presented the opportunity of coming back as Character Supervisor, looking after the entire Character Development pipeline on their new IP, so here I am, thrilled to be back, working again with the crew and pushing characters in video games together.”
