Senua’s Sacrificetells the story of Senua, a Celtic warrior during the Viking age who must embark on a quest to Viking Hell known as Helheim to fight for the soul of her dead lover. As well as battling physical threats, she must battle her own mind as she learns to deal with her psychosis. To make her mental illness as authentic as possible, Ninja Theory have revealed that they worked with neuroscientists throughout development.

In July 2023, Ninja Theory chose theXboxShowcase to announce the upcoming sequel titledSenua’s Saga: Hellblade IIwhich is set for release some time in 2024. As you can imagine, the award-winning title has a legion of excited fans excited for Senua’s adventures. Following on from the events of the first game, we follow the titular character as she travels through a Viking Iceland intent on saving those who have fallen victim to tyranny.
