With the series beginning its journey way back in 2005, it has since gone on to get a modern-day remake, making Santa Monica Studio’s action adventure more popular than ever. Now to the delight of fans, there could be more in store for theSpartan warrior.

In response to an IGN article discussing the growing popularity of half-sequels, the insiderreplied, “IGN’s bang-on here - this is how you cut the gap between releases while also maybe letting greener teams work on the half-sequel with established tools and support.Santa Monica Studio’s working on newGod of Warstuff and I wonder whether it will beRagnarökDLC or a half-sequel.”

With two major Sony titles going down the half-sequel route, this could become the norm for AAA games as another way of exploring side character’s stories as well as giving players even more content. It remains to be seen if Santa Monica Studio will be exploring this withGod of War Ragnarökbut I for one would not be disappointed.
