You’d think a remaster ofGTA IVwould be something fans would welcome.

Yet, upon seeing this new-gen project, theGTAcommunity finds themselves seriously unimpressed.

As much as gamers long to see Niko explore an updated in-game environments, they could do without the excessive shine that all new-gen remasters seem to have.

“Far too reflective with rain. Just makes the car look plastic,” argued @batzraph708 upon viewing the gameplay.

Sometimes it exceeds expectations. Other times, it fails. This is one of those times, at least as far as players are concerned.

While the issue of surfaces being too reflective has come up several times now, there are some fans who aren’t sure why the gameplay looks wrong.

“lol, it looks bad idk why,” remarked @AnonymousJack; their post has been liked several times.

Others are more blunt with their commentary, stating thatGTA IVnow is “crap looking”. A descriptive phrase that succinctly summarises how this one poster feels.

Overall, fans seemingly believe that such mods “ruin” the aesthetic of the original game, essentially turning it into something it’s not.

The end result is something “extremely fake” looking that serves to annoy fans rather than elate them.

What would make them all happy would be to get some solid details regarding the secondGTA VItrailer.

The longerRockstar Gamesdrags this out, the more fans are convinced thata delay will soon be announced.
