The actor has stated Rockstar had nothing to do with the event, and that its purely the fault of “sick” individuals.

The clip wassharedonline showing Luke receiving a phone call during his stream. After a short conversation, he hung up and told his viewers “Alright I gotta go, now these ******** have swatted my house, so I’ve gotta go.”

For those unaware, swatting is an incredibly dangerous harassment technique where someone phones the police and gives them someone’s address, usually along with a lie about them being armed or dangerous in order to have as many police as possible show up at their door.

It’s sickening, degenerate behaviour and has been the scourge of streamers for years, as once a streamer’s home address is leaked or obtainable there’s really not much they can do to stop it.

While many of Ned Luke’s viewers expressed sympathy for the actor, others expressed outrage atRockstar Games, and blamed their online security as the reason so manyGTA Onlinestreamers have been swatted over the years.

Luckily the issue was resolved without anyone getting hurt, with Luke able to go back to his livestreams without any further issues.
