GTA Vis one of the biggest video games ever and the only game that could eclipse it would likely be the upcomingGrand Theft Auto VI.
WhenGTA Vwas originally released in 2013 for thePlayStation3 andXbox360, it pushed console hardware to the limits. Looking back, it seems remarkable thatGTA Vran as well as it did on console hardware over a decade ago.

I say “attempted” for good reason and that’s becauseGTA Vrunning on the Nintendo Switch performs how we’d expect it to, like absolute pants. A clip was shared on the Superstar South Studios Twitter account and to say thatGTA Vis choppy, would be an understatement.

Regardless, it’s still impressive that this talented group of modders has achieved what they have withGTA Von the Switch. It would be nice to see an official watered-down release ofGTA Von the Nintendo hybrid one day, but we wouldn’t recommend holding your breath waiting for that to happen.
As for what the future holds for the Rockstar Games series,GTA VIwill be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
