GTA 5 Liberty City single-player DLC leaves fans heartbroken

It seems as though Rockstar Games is trying its hardest to disappoint fans in recent months.

With no sign of the second official trailer forGrand Theft Auto VIandhints at apotential delay, it is not looking good for the studio.

Now, to add insult to injury, a recent rumour reveals thatRockstarhas got quite a few cancelled projects hidden away, including one which would have brought Liberty City toGrand Theft Auto V.

The rumour comes courtesy of PuertoRock77 on Twitter who posted the followingmessageon 27 December, 2023.

“Apparently the alleged rumor is Rockstar cancelled the following projects to put the personnel resource behind supportingGTA Online:

GTA Tokyo

Bully 2

8 story DLC forGTA V

All of this to keepGTAOnlinegoing.”

The post was made in response toNaughty Dogannouncing that it would remain a single-player driven studio which, as we know, Rockstar Games has strayed away from in recent years.

If this rumour is true, that would mean that the studio has favouredGTA Onlineover potential projects dedicated to some of its much-loved single-player games,

So, as you can expect, fans are heartbroken to learn the news.

“Rockstar dumped everything to feedGTA5. Couldn’t even be bothered to supportRDR2despite the hype they pushed for it.”

Anothersaid: “Still forever wishing we got aLiberty Citystories equivalent for RDR2 that eventually added Mexico back in at some point.”

However, it is still heartbreaking for fans to hear what could have been.
