GTA Vis one of the most popular video games ever, both critically and commercially. As of August 2024, since the game was originally launched in 2013 before being ported to every console generation,GTA Vhas shipped over200 million unitsworldwide.

What’s more, according to the aggregate website Metacritic,GTA Vscoreda mighty 97 earning a “Must-Play” accolade. However, while 2008’sGTA IVshipped around25 million units(largely due to it only being available on three platforms), it did pip its successor on Metacritic with ascoreof 98.
So it should come as no surprise that fans would loveRockstar Gamesto release a modernremaster or remake ofGTA IV. Sadly, at the time of writing, that’s unlikely to happen but we can get the next best thing.
