GTA 5 story expansion shut down by Rockstar

Rockstar Games publisher, Take-Two Interactive, has shut down an AI-generated mod expansion forGrand Theft Auto V.

Despite its critical and commercial success, garneringover 180 million salessince its release in 2013, the singleplayer forGrand Theft Auto Vhas received no post-launch content.

Story expansions, not dissimilar toRed Dead Redemption’s Undead NightmareorGrand Theft Auto IV’sThe Ballad of Gay TonyDLC, were planned forGTA Vbut were disappointingly scrapped.

Instead,Rockstar Gamesfocussed all of its attention onGTA Online, releasing several DLC updates adding new vehicles, buyable properties, missions, heists and much more, all free of charge.

While the online content appeased the majority of players, many still wish Rockstar had expanded on the story ofGTA V,and some decided to do it themselves with mods.

It was a lot of fun, and worth putting a few hours into if you didn’t fancy playingGTA Online, or replaying the single-player.

Take-Two Interactive also issued copyright strikes against Bloc’s YouTube and Netlify accounts.
