Industry veteran and insider Jason Schreier took to social media to claim, “I would be shocked if it actually made it next year”, referencing thatRockstar Gamesis well known for delaying their games.

Of course, this made its way to Reddit, where fans reacted badly.

Remember, this is speculation and rumour, and while Jason has been right in the past, it doesn’t mean the game is delayed yet.

GTA VIis the industry’s most anticipated game, and it will likely win that award tonight at The Game Awards.

We’ve had nothing but weeks, months, years, of hype and commentary from die-hard fans.
All eyes have been pointing to the latter half of 2025 when the game is supposed to be released. Fans can’t take the teasing anymore.
Thankfully, some are seeing sense and being rational.

Of course, there’s the other side of the coin, where only worry and concern exists.

For now, take this with a pinch of salt. For all we know, Rockstar Games comes out at The Game Awards with a second trailer and a firm release date for preorders.
