GTA 6 $225 pre-orders appear online, and you need to stay away

It’ll come as a surprise to no one that scammers are already trying to take advantage of those who want to get their hands onGrand Theft Auto VI. The latest con to appear online is offering access to a ‘GTA VIAlpha Version’ for $225. A blatant lie.

GTA VIis officially on the way in 2025. As it stands, there are no pre-orders available. We’re yet to get a definitive release date, nor do we know what kind of editions will release when pre-orders do eventually go live. It’ll likely be several months beforeRockstarfurther lifts the lid on the project but eagle-eyed fans think they’vecaught a glimpse of the game’s mapin the official trailer. With information thin on the ground, scammers have clearly spotted a window of opportunity. Already,fake PC downloadshave been spotted online. Now, a fake pre-order has appeared.

We can only expect that scams of this kind will continue to pop up online.GTA VIis undeniably the most hyped and anticipated game of all-time. Scrap that, one of the most hyped pieces of entertainment across any medium. That’s going to be taken advantage of.
