In fact, the last mainlineShrekmovie to be released was in 2010 withShrek Forever After. So it stands to reason that fans have been wishing to see a new movie starring the green beast alongside his friends Princess Fiona and Donkey. Thankfully, it seems like that wish is being granted.

Shrek must find a way out of the contract to restore his world and reclaim his true love.”

The NBCUniversal employee in question had reportedly updated their LinkedIn page revealing thatShrek 5is being released in 2025, before that update was swiftly deleted. While it’s not set in stone as of yet, it is believed thatGrand Theft Auto VIwill be released between 2024 to 2025. GTA fans are hoping to learn more about when the next entry in Rockstar Games’ popular series will arrive with its upcomingtrailer reveal early next month.
We’ll of course, keep you posted if we hear of any further developments on the progress ofShrek 5and when that movie does eventually arrive, hopefully, it will be worth the 15-year wait.
