Rockstar Games’much-anticipated titleGrand Theft Auto VImight not come out in 2025, according to an industry veteran… and fans are not taking that news well.
Jason Schreier, a reporter who works for Bloomberg and one of the most well-respected video game journalists in recent memory, recently spoke with Tim Gettyson the Kinda Funny Games podcastaboutGrand Theft Auto VI’spotential release date.
Gettys asked Schreier about Rockstar Games’ targeted 2025 release date for the game, and Schreier had this to say.

“I would be shocked if it actually made it next year,” Schreier responded.
“I think it will probably slip again because Rockstar games always slip… But as of right now, Take-Two is saying they’re still on track. Let’s see if that’s the case in a few months.”
Now, Schreier isn’t stating thatGTA VIwill definitely miss its projected release window. He’s not saying that he’s heard some insider scoop, he’s just stating his opinion based on Rockstar Games’ history of delays.

Ultimately, Schreier is just making an informed guess here. Nothing is concrete, and he stated that himself in the podcast. It’s not time to go DEFCON 1 until Rockstar announces anything themselves, guys.
