Sadly, this insider claims that it’s more likely to be 2026 before we get our hands on this elusive Rockstar game.
GTA Base staff writer and modder Liam shared this shocking news on Twitter.
Although you’d be wise to remain cautious, Liam has been known to be a reliable source having been one of the first sources to leak that aGTA VItrailer was coming.

This doesn’t automatically make him correct, however, it adds greater validity to his claims.
According to Liam,GTA VIhas been “internally delayed”, with Rockstar now setting its sights on an “early to mid 2026 release window”.
“This information comes from multiple devs across two studios,” Liam added to further strengthen his claims.
Some of the responses, according to Liam, have been rather threatening from the fandom.
