The release ofGrand Theft Auto VIis nowhere to be seen, but that hasn’t stopped fans of Rockstar Games chatting about what lies ahead.
Rockstar Games first announced that it wasworking onGTA VIback in February 2022. Sadly, since that time, we’ve had no official details to chew on and that is why we’ve had to make do with leaks and speculation.

At this point, we’re all none the wiser. However, it has been claimed recently that Rockstar Games will make abig announcement later this month. Whether that comes to fruition remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t recommend holding your breath, otherwise, you might actually die before you get a chance to playGTA VI.
Regardless, that hasn’t stopped fans from talking aboutGTA VII, notVI, butVII. Though in fairness, the discussion taking placein a recentReddit post is very much in jest. Reddit user TableFlipper4 joked, “The trailer drops and it gets one million views in one day, the subreddit will get flooded with more people […] and once the game finally releases, everyone will complain and sayGTA Vis better.” He continued, “MrBossFTW will make a video onGTA VII,[…] and there will be a few bugs on release and people will complain about it.” Sounds pretty accurate.
“Yep, power-hungry nerds are always ahead to be mods of new subreddits, even if they won’t be used until 2027,” exclaimed ihatejuicelol. However, ‘2027’ is being very optimistic, especially if the rumours ofGTA VIbeingreleased between 2024 to 2025are true.
What’s more, Rockstar Games has been milkingGTA Vfor the best part of a decade (and counting), so we wouldn’t expectGTA VIIto be released until way into 2030.
