The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the most popular and lucrative video game properties in the industry and Rockstar Games will no doubt expect the arrival ofGTA VIto take the series to new heights.
At the time of writing, we know very little aboutGrand Theft Auto VI, despite being announced to be indevelopment nearly two years ago. We don’t know theGTA VIrelease date or story details and we’ve never even seen a trailer.

Originally released on 17 September 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, this weekend saw the 10th anniversary of the iconicGrand Theft Auto V, which later arrived on other platforms including PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

“When isGTA VIcoming out?” and “AnnounceGTA VI” were very common replies on the Rockstar Games Twitter thread, and thereactions onReddit were no different.
“Obviously I didn’t expect anything big, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t have the tiniest of hopes for a trailer,” said Redditor ToppleToes. “But the fact that they didn’t give us anything to be excited forGTA V’s10th anniversary is such a letdown. In related news, an insider claims thatGrand Theft Auto VIwill have awhopping file size of 750GB, and Rockstar Games publisher Take-Two Interactive has hinted that the next entry in this iconic series will have arelease date between 2025 to 2026.
It is expected thatGTA VIwill be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
