GTA 6 fans warned of serious issue that could cost you your passwords

There’s no denying that the Grand Theft Auto series is one of the biggest properties in all of entertainment and the anticipation for its next entry,GTA VIhas already reached fever pitch.

Following years of rumours and leaks,Rockstar Gamesfinally unveiled the firstofficialGTA VItrailerin December 2023, and within days it wassmashing records. At the time of writing, the trailer uploaded to the Rockstar Games YouTube channel hasamassed over185 million views and counting. Understandably, fans cannot wait for the nextGTA VItrailer to arrive. However, with such excitement for what will arguably be the biggest video game release of all time, scammers will find a way to exploit enthusiastic fans.

In this day and age, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to remain safe from software that aims to steal our sensitive information and sometimes bogus emails will be disguised as friends and family members. So we must always check the email sender as the address can often be a series of random characters from a Gmail account, for example, something that an official company such as Rockstar Games would never use.

Grand Theft Auto VIaims to be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. At the time of writing, Rockstar Games is yet to announce a PC release.
