GTA 6 insider claims major feature has been scrapped

With just a few weeks to go until Rockstar releases its first trailer for the highly anticipatedGrand Theft Auto VI,rumours are flying around thick and fast with news that one major feature may have already been scrapped.

The start of November sawRockstarannounce that early December would see the “first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto”. With it being 10 years sinceGrand Theft Auto Vwas released, it is safe to say that fans are more than ready for the next instalment. If anything, it will put a stop to the hundreds of rumours and potential leaks that have surfaced online over the past decade.

One in particular was the rumour that Rockstar would be implementing anextreme weather systemtoGrand Theft Auto VI.This would have brought hurricanes and tornadoes to the game which is something we have yet to see in a Grand Theft Auto title. However, according to one insider, the extreme weather feature was scrapped during development.

“I’ve heard they wanted hurricanes and tornadoes, as to why they were cut I don’t know,“claimsRockstar Universe via Twitter. “It could be tech limitations, it could be something else.”

This is perhaps not surprising as implementing extreme weather conditions into any game is challenging, let alone one that is onGrand Theft Auto VI’sscale. However, many fans believed this rumour to be true as hurricanes are pretty common in Florida’s inspired Vice City where the game will reportedly be set.
