GTA 6 meets Spider-Man in wild new free RPG

Project Mugen, originally revealed at last year’s Gamescom, has been rebranded.

Boasting an anime aesthetic, you might think that, at a glance,ANANTAis akin to something likeGenshin ImpactorZenless Zone Zero.

And, of course, that’s not a totally wrong assumption but it’s not the first comparison I’d make.

In fact,ANANTAappears to be much more in line withGrand Theft Auto VIand theMarvel’s Spider-Manfranchise, blending frenetic and violent car chases with city-swinging action.

And no, I don’t quite understand why these characters can swing like Spider-Man but I won’t be complaining about it either.

Don’t believe me? Take a look atANANTAin action below.

See?GTA VImeets Marvel’s Spider-Man sounds like an unlikely duo but seconds into the trailer and you’ll get that, “Oh, I see it,” moment.

This trailer has undoubtedly left me with a lot of questions, not just about the swinging.

Did you also see the rideable legged toilet … bizarre.

As for the official synopsis, “Welcome to Nova, the sun-soaked coastal hub that’s perfect for ditching winter,” it reads.

As I said, the game is set to be free-to-play so it’ll likely include microtransactions, and it currently remains without a release date.

What we do know is that it’s in development forPlayStation 5,PC, iOS, and Android.

If you’re interested, you canpre-registernow which will be the best way to keep up to date with news of any potential playtests.
