After over a ten-year hiatus,Rockstar Gamesis back with the open-world action-adventure title and it is safe to say that fans are eagerly anticipating its release.
With the sixth instalment taking us back to Vice City and surrounding areas and introducing us to brand-new protagonists Jason and Lucia, it is set to be another epic adventure.
So epic in fact that it has been reported thatGTA VIhas cost approximately $2 billion to make.
If this is true, it is the most expensive video game ever made.

This news comes from the infamous Rockstar hacker who released over 90 clips ofGTA VIand its source code and posted them online back in 2022.
In comparison,Marvel’s Spider-Man2had one of the biggest budgets in recent years and was estimated to cost around $300m to make.
However,GTA Vwhich was released over ten years ago, reportedly cost eight times less than the estimated $2 billion for its sequel.

Although we have only seen one official trailer forGTA VI,we can already tell it is going to push the boundaries of gaming both with its story and performance.
Needless to say, it may never be confirmed how much the ambitious title cost to make but whatever it is, let us hope it was worth it.
