GTA 6 next-gen destruction gameplay leak has us more hyped than ever

GTA VIwill apparently feature destructible environments for the first time in the series’ history, which should make the open-world far more interesting.

The upcoming release ofGTA VIis both exciting and terrifying, as some analysts are warning it could set a new standard for open-world games going forward that some developers just aren’t ready for.

Judging from the trailer it’s easy to see why

According to new gameplay leaksRockstaris pushing the open-world further than ever, and there will be more ways for players to interact with it than ever before.

One of the proposed features though is more exciting than any of the others, destructible environments.

Adding destructible environments to aGrand Theft Autogame simply makes sense as freeroaming and causing as much chaos as possible is a vital part of the gameplay loop.

Apparently inGTA VIyou’ll be able to attack various buildings and leave lasting damage on them, like broken windows, bits of debris etc.

There will be limits apparently, as you can’t take a bulldozer to an entire city as that just wouldn’t make sense, and you probably can’t damage buildings that are important to the mission you’re on either.

Nevertheless it sounds like an impressive addition if it’s real, I say that because you can’t say anything is confirmed until Rockstar itself deems it so.

GTA VI is closer than ever now that we’re in 2025, as the game is expected to launch some time towards the end of the year, when we’ll finally be able to see what this bold, new open-world has to offer.
