The past week has seen rumours unearthed thatGrand Theft Auto VIcould be delayed until 2026.
With the highly-anticipated title expected to launch sometime in Fall of 2025, this delay would have quite the impact and as you can imagine, fans are heartbroken with its potential.

However, it seems that the rumours of another delay are for nought asRockstaritself has come forward to reveal that theGTA VIlaunch is still scheduled for 2025.

This news comes courtesy of gaming reporter @Mr_Rebs_ who took to Twitter tosharethe update.
“Take-Two Interactivejust released their 2024 annual report which states ‘Rockstar Games plans to releaseGrand Theft AutoVIin the Fall of calendar 2025… and will share more details over time.’ This proves the delay rumour was false.”
This came alongside a source, do not worry.
So it seems as though this rumoured 2026 delay is indeed false and fans are understandably relieved.

So much so that they took tor/GTA6to share their thoughts.
“Fingers crossed, boys. Fingers crossed,” one comment read regarding the 2025 fall release.
Another said: “Looking forward to next year’s marketing period from Rockstar. They make some of the best trailers. Exciting times.”
As it stands, there has only been one official trailer forGTA VIso far and that was released in December 2023.

It has now been nine months since its release so it is no wonder that fans are eager to see more promotional materials.
WithGTA VIexpected to launch anytime between October to December of 2025, there is still quite a while to go.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt that millions of fans will be ready for when the time comes.
