It’s been a quiet shift but if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are slowly being left behind.
While both consoles served us well, they are beginning to show their age. After all, technology moves quickly. You need only look atHogwarts Legacytohighlight the differencesbetween the two console generations. In thePlayStation4 andXboxOne versions of the game, exterior castle bridges were transformed into rather simplistic internal corridors, to cut down on the need to load such demanding exterior environments for a short journey between two interior locations. Loading screens were also added when leaving and entering Hogwarts castle. To put it simply, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can no longer keep up - so you can understand why fans are hoping thatGTA VIwill be a new-gen exclusive.

I expect that we won’t see the game release on these older consoles.GTA VIhas been so long in the making that I’m sure Rockstar will be hoping to push the PlayStation 5’s and Xbox Series X/S’s capabilities. With the trailer just a couple of weeks away, it’s wild to think that we’ll soon finally have an idea of what’s in store.
