It may be easy to forget, but Rockstar Games is known for more than the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series.
Other fantastic titles includeMax Payne,Bully,Manhunt,The Warriors,L.A. Noireand perhaps most of all,Rockstar Gamespresents Table Tennis. The latter of which is truly a timeless classic in video game history.

Thankfully that wish was recently granted with both of the two original Max Payne games being remade into one glorious bundle with Remedy Entertainment returning to the developmental helm with theremakes entering full production in November 2023. Yet, what ofL.A Noire, Rockstar Games’ forgotten title. This is despite there beingfan demand for an L.A. Noire sequel.
L.A. Noirewas released in 2011 and the best we’ve had so far in terms of their being new entries are ports for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch as well as VR release. There was at some point a sequel toL.A. Noirein development calledW**** of the Orientbefore it was cancelled. That being said, there is a small glimmer of hope that we one day will see the return of theL.A. Noirein some form, whether it be a direct sequel or spiritual successor.

Unfortunately, it’s worth taking the earnings call with a pinch of salt. After all, they are just internal conversations at this point and other than the Max Payne remakes, neitherL.A. NoirenorMidnight Clubhave been officially announced. That being said, it’s interesting nonetheless that further sequels are at least being considered.
As for what we know for sure,GTA VIwill be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
