Grand Theft Auto VIhas cemented itself as one of the most anticipated games of all time and with fans expecting a fall 2025 release, one insider may have some unfortunate news.
It has been over 10 years since Rockstar Games released the latest Grand Theft Auto entry,Grand Theft Auto V,and since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating the next crime-filled story.

Although the studio has since releasedRed Dead Redemption 2and multiple updates forGrand Theft Auto Online,Grand Theft Auto VIhas been a long time coming so it is no wonder that fans were overjoyed to learn it was scheduled for a fall 2025 release.

With just one official trailer, which was released in December 2023, there is a lot we don’t know about the next Grand Theft Auto entry.
As for what is confirmed, it will take us back to Vice City and feature a Bonnie and Clyde-esque story with new protagonists, Jason and Lucia.
Rockstarhas remained tight lipped throughout 2024 but as far as we know, we will be able to dive intoGTA VIin less than a year.

According to him, Rockstar’s history of delays is the main reason why the game has not been released already and despite the studio being on track, he reminded listeners that a lot can happen in a year and Rockstar is not in any rush.
Of course, this is merely speculation and as far as we know,Grand Theft Auto VIis still scheduled for a fall 2025 release.
