Tomorrow is the big day for theGTA VItrailer, but gamers are already looking ahead to when the the game will release. Some even believe the date has already been teased and, honestly, it would be a terrible wait if proven true.
TheGTAcommunity has been abuzz with talk since Rockstar Games revealed it was dropping itsGTA VItrailer at 9am ET on 5 December. Then, with a developer’s son seemingly revealinggameplay from the upcoming game, we’ve had nothing short of a busy few days.
Let’s throw it back toGTA Vto ready ourselves for the officialGTA VItrailer!

Social media user @LegacyKillaHD posted a photo of the shirt in question, with this caption: “Besides @RockstarGames teasing at theGTA VIreveal date & time with the secret number sequence of “1252309” on this GTA Online shirt a few months ago, there’s also more POTENTIAL interesting numbers here. 040125 = April 1st 2025. Could that be the intendedGTA VIrelease date?!”
Before we get into whether this kind of over-analysis should be taken seriously, let’s be clear that this user isn’t alone in speculating about the wait we have to endure between when the trailer is shown and the release date. Heck, some gamers are simply guessing at what objects with appear in the trailer – thehype for this game is unreal.
Now, as for whether this could be true? There’s always a small possibility, but we’d argue that such a faraway release date would be especially cruel ofRockstar. What is more, there are many other numbers there besides the ones the OP has picked up on, as other gamers have pointed out. “There’s a ton of other numbers aside from the ‘125239’ that could make up anything if we think hard enough,” reasoned @SCHMUG.

Another user built on this, saying that they “hate this stupid shirt” because of all the people who “keep making random numbers connect”. In short, few believe this to be a genuine peek at the launch date. However, anything is possible, even more so with Rockstar Games.
Will a launch date finally be shown in theGTA VItrailer? We’re not holding out much hope, although it would be a welcome sight if the devs did reward our patience and loyalty. But for now we wait. Again.
