GTA 6 release date teased in new Rockstar job listing

A Reddit post has highlighted thatRockstar Gamesis in search of a ‘“localisation tester” for Russia, on a fixed 12 month contract. As we know, fans have been concerned over the launch ofGTA VIfollowing the recentRockstar controversy, and so seeing this job listing gives them a semblance of hope to cling onto. We just hope it isn’t another case of “broken promises”.

Naturally, fans are divided over whether an “early 2025” release is on the cards or not. Some are optimistic due to the job specs description, which “implies” that the tester would be giving a “second/third pass at work that’s already done”. Others, however, are uncertain. “Yeah, before it’s [GTA VI] delayed to the end of 2025 and again delayed into 2026 and possibly delayed to end of 2026,” posted one doubtful Redditor.

Even if 2025 is on the cards as far as the launch goes, just because a contract is fixed for 12 months doesn’t mean the game will launch immediately after the job is done, as one fan pointed out.

Let’s leave the discourse behind and simply enjoy theGTA VItrailer as intended

“Even assuming the game would be done in 12 months, you know games don’t release immediately after they go gold right?” They continued, “Especially for a game as huge asGTA, the marketing could go for months after the game is actually done, the game discs need to be done, and the bundles with either Xbox or PS marketing. It would release mid 2025 at the earliest.”

Once again, we’re stuck on a merry-go-round regarding the mystery release date of this hyped game. If Rockstar could intercede and offer some clues, that would be best.
