It’s been an unpleasant rollercoaster of (mis)information.
Now it would seem that all those delay worries were for naught, with theGTA VIlaunch still scheduled for autumn 2025.
This information comes from Rockstar itself, via the Twitter feed of gaming reporter @Mr_Rebs_.
Their postreads, “Take-Two Interactivejust released their 2024 annual report which states ‘Rockstar Games plans to releaseGrand Theft Auto VIin the Fall of calendar 2025… and will share more details over time.’ This proves the delay rumour was false.”

After what we’ve just seen, fears should be put to rest, and for many gamers they are. However, there are some who remain cautious.
“They have a whole year to delay it. Plenty of time for multiple delays even!”commented@The_Soupinator.
As with any kind of release, delays could still happen – nobody knows the future.

That said, this annual report from Take-Two certainly paints a picture of confidence in the new GTA launching as planned.
As we approach the one-year anniversary of when the first trailer dropped, the tension is mounting, and expectation is high.
