Vermeij, who previously worked onGrand Theft Auto III, Vice City, San AndreasandIVbefore leaving Rockstar, recently took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the next instalment.
On top of explaining thatRockstarwill be in no rush to releaseGTA VIconsidering it “will sell for 10+ years”, he also replied to a comment about how much of an issue the title will be for theXbox Series S.
As we already know, the Xbox Series S is the less powerful sister console to theXbox Series Xso it is no wonder that some players are worried about howGTA VIwill perform on it.

“There’s quite a performance gap between the Series S and the PS5 pro,” Vermeijexplained.
“In an ideal world,VIwould run at 30fps on [Xbox X/S] and PS5 and 60fps on the Pro. The Series S is a headache for devs for sure.”
This is not the first time we have heard about the Xbox Series S being a “headache” for developers with changes having to be made to cater to its lower performance.
However, as it stands,Grand Theft Auto VIwill arrive to both the Series X and Series S so it remains to be seen how it will run.
