GTA 7 officially confirmed before GTA 6 is even in our hands

Grand Theft Auto fans want one thing and one thing only,GTA VI’s coveted release date.

The countdown is still on regardless.Rockstar Gamesrecently announced that the franchise’s next instalmentwould release in fall 2025, massively narrowing down the previous (and vague) window of 2025.

This is, of course, referring to fall in the northern hemisphere, so we’re talking the months September, October, and November of next year.

With that in mind,GTA VI’s second trailer may not be as near as we’d hoped.

The game’s first trailer dropped six months ago and with the rumour mill originally suggesting an early 2025 release, many suspected that a second glimpse atGTA VIcould land this summer.

Given the updated fall 2025 release window though, that’s now unlikely to happen. After all, Rockstar isn’t going to wantGTA VI’s hype and marketing to peak too soon.

More specifically, Zelnick was asked if Rockstar was hoping to avoid having another 12 years between entries, as is the case forGTA VandGTA VI.

“It is important to bear in mind that it’s not like Rockstar put outGTA Vand sat on their hands for 12 years, right? We launchedGTA Online. That’s turned into a massive, living, breathing ecosystem which continues to perform and grow to this day,” he began.

“So the label totally transformed from a label that made big, standalone, monolithic, games […] to a label that’s now in the live services business. I do think given the scale of that label, it’s a huge company itself, there isn’t much more to be done.”

“This isn’t a situation where it is 12 years of girth of product, there’s 12 years where Rockstar has been putting out a mass amount of content. And another little title calledRed Dead[2].”
