Cancellations continue to take place at Rockstar following the recentmass layoffswhich saw $140 million worth of projects at Take-Two Interactive thrown on the scrap heap, although this particularGTA Vspin-off would’ve been canned years prior.

During a chat with the rest of theGTA Vcast, Ogg explained how Trevor had been penned to play “James Bond Trevor”. We can only imagine what this would entail but we may never know thanks to the project being scrapped despite already shooting content for it.

Ogg goes on to express his confusion over why the project was scrapped but fellowGTA Vstar Ned Luke who played Michael, claims it was “for that stuff”, referring toGTA Online.

It seems as though it is not just Luke that thinks Rockstar prioritisedGTA Onlineinstead of this project and fans were quick to express their disappointment over the choice.

“Such a missed opportunity. Sounds like the actors had a lot of fun working on it,” read one reply.

Another said: “Classic modern Rockstar. It’s cool to know they filmed it though, so it was probably deep in development. I wonder why it was cancelled? Yes,GTA: Online, but they spent money on it, why not ship it?

Who knows? Maybe one day the project will be unearthed and we can see the loveableGTA Vtrio take to the screen again. For now, let us just hopeGrand Theft Auto VIis still on the right track.
