Half-Life is free to download and keep forever for a limited time

For those who are yet to play the 25-year-old classicHalf-Life,you can now add it to your Steam library completely free of charge for a limited time.

First released in 1998,Half-Lifehas gone on to become one of the most recognised video games of all time. Now almost thirty years on, it seems fitting thatSteamwill be the one offering players the chance to get their hands on it for free considering the title was Valve’s first-ever game.

With its sequelHalf-Life 2being released in 2004, fans have been desperate to hear news of a potential third part. However, with Valve yet to share any news on this possibility, it seems we may be in for a long wait. Despite the story currently being unfinished, Valve did release the VR titleHalf-Life: Alyxback in 2020 which gave fans a taste of the world they had been desperately missing.
