
The next Halo game, and probably some of the existing titles, is apparently heading to the PlayStation 5 according to a new job advert.
Halofans have been having a great week so far, as developer 343 Industries has announced its rebrand to Halo Studios, as well as confirmed it’s working on the next Halo gameusing Unreal Engine 5.
It’s believed the next gamewill notcontinue the story ofHalo: Infinite
The developer is currently in the process of hiring new talent to bring thenext game to life, which is believed to be aremake ofHalo: Combat Evolvedas the series starts its reboot.

However in another twist it seems the next Halo game will launch onPlayStation5 as well asXboxandPCplatforms.
The full adread“As the Senior Technical Sound Designer, you will work with audio programmers, the audio team and other disciplines to implement audio into Unreal and Wwise for upcoming Halo titles.”
This does seem to suggest that Halo is coming to PlayStation 5 is some capacity, and it adds up further when you consider how many Xbox IPs have been ported to Sony’s console this year.

Whether this means we can expect a port ofHalo: The Master Chief Collectionand its following titles in the near future is unknown, but it does sound like they’re on the way.
It’ll be interesting to see what fans make of this decision, as while it’d be great to see Halo in the hands of so many new players, there are those who’d argue it’san Xbox brand through-and-through.
All we can do now is keep an eye out for any announcements regarding Halo on the PlayStation 5.
