Halo: Sins Of The Prophets is some of the best fan Halo we’ve seen in years

If you’re tired of what 343 Industries andXboxhave been doing with the series, thenHalofan games are where it’s at.

That being said, Halo Infinite was a pretty good return to form for the series

Halo: Sins Of The Prophetis worth a look if you’re a fan of real-time strategy games, or RTS for short.

It’s a total conversion mod forSins Of The Solar Empire, an intergalactic battle simulator where spaceships wage war across the cosmos.

As you’d expect the mod switches the in-game ship models for that of the Halo series, essentially turning it into Halo Wars but in space instead.

After choosing between the UNSC or the Covenant, players can put together mighty fleets of frigates and cruisers, all varying in their speeds, sizes and firepower.

You can download the mod for free from ModDB, as long as you have a copy ofSins Of The Solar Empireof course.

If you don’t have a copy of the game you can buy one fromSteamfor a pretty reasonable price, slightly more if you want DLC included.

Halo: Sins Of The Prophetfeels like a breath of fresh air for the first-person shooter series, and will probably scratch an itch for those patiently waiting forHalo Wars 3.

Hopefully a few official spin-off projects are on the cards for Halo’s future, as there are a lot of game genres that could be explored, from more RTS games, to open-worlds, to horror.
