You only have to look atthis Reddit threadasking the same question to see it’s a resounding no from fans.
“NahThe Cursed Childisn’t a real book, no matter what JK says, it’s horrible and makes no sense,”saysHiozanrael.
The only reason many fans could imagine this is due to the nostalgia they have for the series of books and films they grew up on.

The chorus of ‘no’ carries on throughout the thread, with one usersaying, “I hated the play, so I’d probably hate the movie.”
The play follows events from the Harry Potter universe 19 years after the final book, and it has been a stage play for some time.
The downside to this, is theatre tickets can be expensive, whereas a film can be watched again and again, so you can see the appeal.
However, staunch fans just don’t want it.
