
Harry Potter is getting a major reboot in the form of an HBO Max series, and casting is reportedly going well.
Yesterday we covered the actor being eye’d up forSeverus Snape, which caused quite a stir amongst fans, many of which can be dismissed as bigotry.

In a new update for the series it’s been claimed the show has got someone in mind to playAlbus Dumbledoreas well, a pivotalHarry Pottercharacter who acts as Harry’s mentor in a way,andone of the most powerful wizards in existence.

Once upon a time it was supposed to beIan McKellan in the robe, but he went on to become another wizard, Gandalf in theLord Of The Rings.
When Richard Harris unfortunately passed away the role went to the late Sir Michael Gambon, who played the character for the rest of the film series.
Now Mark Rylance is reportedly being considered for the roleaccordingto Variety, and that while negotiations haven’t actually begun yet the studio has reached out to the actor to play the part.

Rylance is known for roles in films likeDunkirk, Ready Player OneandBridge Of Spiesto name a few.
So we have an idea of who will play Snape and Dumbledore if HBO’s outreach is successful, but we still have no idea who could play the leading trio of characters.
Harry, Hermione and Ron are seemingly yet to be cast, but apparently over 30,000 children have auditioned for the upcoming TV series, so there’s clearly a lot of applicants to get through.
