A Redditpostsaid as much, saying a feature should be added that lets us “import our characters,” in a similar sort of way toGTA Onlineletting you transfer your character from the last-gen version of the game to the new-gen.
It’d make a lot of sense forHogwarts Legacytoo.Harry Potteras a series takes place across several years, each one being a different year of attendance at Hogwarts. InHogwarts Legacyyour character transfers to the school later than the other wizards in Year 5, and with the final year being Year 7 Warner Bros could release two more games for the remaining years of study.
Players agreed, with one saying “A trilogy would be awesome. And I really hope we get to give the main character more backstory in future games.”
Another player said:“It would be really cool if we could keep building on the characters we’ve created. Imagine 2-3 games down the line and your character becomes a professor, that would be fun.”

Finally one player implied the game could “copy the Mass Effect trilogy” and keep the same character going throughout its adventures.
HopefullyHogwarts Legacy 2does have some kind of import mechanic. It’d be a shame if we had to start from scratch with a new character, especially if the majority of features stay the same.
