Hogwarts Legacy 2: Unreal Engine 5 teased for Harry Potter sequel

It’s set to be an exciting year for fans ofHogwarts Legacy. For a game that’s proved to be so popular,Hogwarts Legacyhas been vastly underserved in terms of post release content.

Despite originally launching in February of last year, very little new content has landed inHogwarts Legacy. There have, of course, been various patches relating to bug fixes but that’s not exactly what I’m getting at here. Of course, a brand new expansion would be the dream for fans but even seeing highly requested features land like a Photo Mode or extended version of Summoner’s Court and Crossed Wands would be a major win at this point. Thankfully, we do know that thePlayStationexclusiveHaunted Hogsmeadequest is set to land on other platforms this summer with devs also teasing further “updates”.

Unfortunately, exactly what those “updates” will entail is a secret for now but the prospect of new content finally landing is undoubtedly exciting. It’s likely that developers spent most of 2023 working on the delayed PlayStation 4,XboxOne, andNintendoSwitch ports. With those versions of the game now out in the world, there’s time to focus on something new.

It definitely feels as if there’s more to tease out ofHogwarts Legacybefore we move onto a sequel but assumedly, given the immense financial success of the game, a sequel is coming. The latest rumour claims that the supposed sequel will benefit from a major graphics boost with devs possibly switching toUnreal Engine5.
