Most of us might have broken up from work or school for the holidays, but who wouldn’t want to take a trip back to Hogwarts for Christmas if given the chance?
Spending the festive season in a castle filled with warm fires and feasts that magically never end sounds like an absolute dream to me. And while we can’t actually go to Hogwarts, given that I’m reliably informed it’s not a real place,Hogwarts Legacyis waiting for you. And in many ways, it’s the perfect Christmas game.

There are very few mods that really substantially change the look and feel ofHogwarts Legacy, with the exception of theambitious multiplayer mod. With that said, A New Beginning really does makeHogwarts Legacyfeel brand-new. Impressive, given it’s pretty much just a reshade preset.
This mod’s description reads: “A simple yet stunning reshade preset that enhances the game and adds more colour and depth to the world. Made with HDR on.”
The difference is genuinely night and day, and helps to make an already magical game feel much more special. Pair this with aNew Game Plus modand you have, essentially, an entirely newHogwarts Legacyexperience to play through at no extra cost.
If you want to go one step further, there are deeper mods that addrideable dragons, and newspellsto use in combat. Basically, you can keep the magic going for as long as modders can be bothered to keep coming up with ideas.
