
Hogwarts Legacy’s attention to detail is somewhat inconsistent, but there’s undoubtedly a lot to commend.
Fair to say, it’s nigh impossible to critique Hogwarts castle itself alongside the village of Hogsmeade. Both are so well considered, packed full with hidden nooks and crannies to explore, alongside charming nods to the expansive lore of the Wizarding World.
As for the rest of the open world, well, that leaves something to be desired. It’s definitely a magical, or should I say haunting, experience exploring the Forbidden Forest for the first time. Its gloomy atmosphere is captured well and those spiders instil the same fear I’m imagining Ron felt back in theChamber of Secrets.

Elsewhere though, there arefar too many caves and ruinsthat feel like carbon copies of one another.
Jumping back to Hogwarts castle though, it’s so intricately designed thatHogwarts Legacyplayers are still finding unique details to this day, including one pertaining to a certain house common room.

If you didn’t opt for Slytherin house, you likely won’t have experienced this particular detail but even the most dedicated of Slytherins may have overlooked it.
