Hogwarts Legacy fans rejoice as new Harry Potter game officially announced for September

Hogwarts Legacy’s summer update is, unfortunately, rather disappointing.

This is the first major content update sinceHogwarts Legacyfirst launched in February of last year and outside of the ‘Haunted Hogsmeade Shop’ quest, there isn’t a lot present to draw players back in.

A Photo Mode is nice but it shouldn’t be the tentpole of the update, and the cosmetics are hardly game-changing.

Of course, if you originally playedHogwarts Legacyon PlayStation, the ‘Haunted Hogsmeade Shop’ quest won’t be a draw at all.

During a recent Legacy Live event, developers didreveal one Easter eggplayers are yet to spot in addition to teasinga small new featureyou can seek out following the update.

Still, it’s not quite the expansion many of us were hoping for. Even pulling back our expectations, it would’ve been nice to see the Summoner’s Court or Crossed Wands activities expanded.

Created with aFortnite-esque aesthetic, the game will, you guessed it, allow players to compete in Quidditch tournaments either solo or with friends.

Developers have confirmed that “there are no plans to include microtransactions in the game at this time,” which is music to all of our ears.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Championswill launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and Epic.
