Then the following year,LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7arrived which includedThe Order of the Phoenix,The Half Blood Princeas well asThe Deathly Hallows - Part 1andPart 2. In the years that followed, we were then treated toLEGO Harry Potter Collectionwhich bundled together all previously released games. So it’s fair to say that there is already plenty of wizarding brick-building goodness on offer.

Perhaps taking inspiration fromLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which is essentially a bundle of remakes of all previous LEGO Star Wars games as well as the recent ‘sequel trilogy’, it seems that LEGO Harry Potter may be getting the same treatment. If true, much likeLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, it could mean that this new Harry Potter game may also be open-world.

The reported image in question is said to feature a LEGO Minifigure ofHarry Potter, along with the logo of the series developer, TT Games and the LEGO logo, as well as a date of 25 August 2023.

I can’t help being drawn to the 25 August 2023 date. It would be safe to assume that this is too early to be a release date. Even if the game was fully developed, that wouldn’t give much breathing space to market its release. However, Gamescom does take place this month between 23 August to 27 August, so it’s possible that this date might be when the game is officially revealed.

In related news, a new LEGO Harry Potter sethas been announcedand it’s absolutely gorgeous. What’s more, inour reviewofLEGO 2K Drive, we said: “Visual Concepts have cruised along the track to victory.”

As of right now, the original LEGO Harry Potter Collection is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
