Hogwarts Legacy ‘forbidden’ item found, makes absolutely no sense at all

There are so many rules to remember at Hogwarts. Do not enter the Forbidden Forest, only enter the common room pertaining to your own house, don’t go swimming in the Black Lake, don’t drink from the forbidden teacup … wait. What’s that last one?

There are so many secrets to discover inHogwarts Legacy. In recent days, one playerdiscovered a hidden roomin Hogwarts after hundreds of hours spent exploring this world. Elsewhere, another player found what they described asa bizarre ‘Thanos creation’that left many fellow witches and wizards all making the same joke. Another player shared a hidden feature theystumbled across after 400 hours. I’ll admit, I didn’t know about it but I wish I had. The latest talk of the town though is ‘the forbidden teacup’.

Someone modded PS1 Hagrid into the game. Take a look below.

Formally, this teacup doesn’t have a title, but players can’t work out why it’s just lurking alone out in the world on the floor, offering you a slurp. Reddit usermillennium-popsiclesaid, “Have you found (and drank from) the forbidden teacup?” If you haven’t playedHogwarts Legacy, allow me to bring you up to speed. There are plenty of seemingly useless interactive objects in the game, teacups included.

You can eat snacks off plates, spin globes, and flush toilets. There’s really no reason to do it but you can. Most of these items are located in sensical locations though. Your house common room for example. Why this particular teacup is located on the floor in the middle of nowhere is a mystery. Is it a mistake? Did devs create secret lore?
