Hogwarts Legacy has a super secret third ending, and I feel robbed

As impressive asHogwarts Legacyis, plenty of fans would call it a missed opportunity in many ways. Exploring the famous School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry, finding out what house you belong to, and zapping people and creatures with magic is a lot of fun, but it could have been so much more.

In fact, some fans would go a step further andsay the game is empty. Once you beat the main story, there’s very little to do except raid caves, and many are saying Avalanche Softwaremade promises about the game that weren’t keptin the final release.

This is clear when you look at the game’s cut content, like the idea of there being a system of punishments for misbehaving in Hogwarts, withhilarious repercussions for straight-up killing another student.

The ‘keep the power for yourself’ option is the hardest to get, with most players choosing between releasing the power or hiding it. If you choose to keep the power, it triggers a rare cutscene showing the main character’s eyes glowing red as they give a menacing stare. The problem is, this ending has been described as “a disappointment,” especially since a sequel will likely canonise a “good ending” making the choice pointless in the first place.

A sequel is almost definitely on the way, especially after the$1 billion in revenuethe first game amassed across its platforms. Where it takes the story next is anyone’s guess, but fans are hoping it’s a vast improvement over the original.
