Hogwarts Legacyis one offive nomineesfor The Steam Awards’ Game of the Year award. It’ll go up againstEA Sports FC24, Baldur’s Gate 3, Lethal Company, andResident Evil 4. Admittedly, you’d expectBaldur’s Gate 3to win as it did at The Game Awards, but then again, this is a fan-voted award. It’s all to play for.

It also picked up a nomination for Best Game on Steam Deck. Just wait though, there’s more.Hogwarts Legacyhas also been recognised in several category longlists at the upcoming BAFTA Games Awards. These longlists will then be narrowed down in order to select the final nominees but so far,Hogwarts Legacycould be in the running for Best Animation, Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Best Game, Game Design, Best Music, Best Narrative, Technical Achievement, and Best Family Game.
Hogwarts Legacycould end up with nine nominations, but equally it could end with zero if it fails to make any shortlist. Its Steam Awards nomination cannot be refuted though. Will it take home the coveted prize? Time will tell.
