We should also add the caveat that these stats refer to single-player games, meaning the likes ofCall of Duty, etc aren’t included. Still, it’s a massive title to claim, especially since FIFA has been dominating this position for the last decade.

In total, the Harry Potter-inspired experience has sold 12.76 million boxed units of the game in the UK alone. Despite doing better in the UK than elsewhere,Hogwarts Legacyhas dominated the US as well, with it coming only second toModern Warfare 3when the stats were last checked in November 2023.
Considering how manyHarry Potterfans boycotted the game due to J.K. Rowling’s apparent transphobia, it’s impressive that the game has managed to win so many over, some of whom originally said they’d never play the game.
One could say it’s nothing short of magic…
