For months,Hogwarts Legacyplayers have been looking to Avalanche Software with doting eyes and hopeful hearts, wishing and waiting for the announcement of an expansion or sequel.
I’m almost certain that the latter will be on the way eventually. After all,Hogwarts Legacywas2023’s best-selling gameand themost searched-for on GoogleIt would be wild not to capitalise on that commercial success. Many wondered whether an announcement would come during the tail end of 2023, but my guess is that devs wanted to keep the focus exclusively on the long-delayed launch of the Nintendo Switch version of the game. 2024 is a clean slate though. Who knows what excitement this year holds? Well, I do happen to know that manyHogwarts Legacyplayers will be gaining access to new DLC next month.
That’s right. The Haunted Hogsmeade Shopwill finally become available across all platforms.

It’s easily one of the spookiest missions inHogwarts Legacy- and dare I say it, simply one of the best-designed in general. It did always feel strange to me upon release that the most enjoyable mission was made unavailable to so many players. That’s about to change though.
The exclusivity window between Warner Bros and PlayStation ends on 10 February 2024. It was originally suggested that at this point, it would become available to Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch players. While we’re awaiting official confirmation from Avalanche, this has been the assumption all year and we cannot imagine why they wouldn’t want to share this DLC far and wide. So start your countdown clocks,Hogwarts Legacyfans.
