We’re in 2024 now, and the game is still going strong thanks to the promise ofnew content coming to the game later this year, as well as rumours ofHogwarts Legacy 2in development. It’s not short of new players either, many of whom have accepted their invitation to Hogwarts and been experiencing the Wizarding World for the very first time, like KrispyKingTheProphet.

Krispy made a post sharing their first time with the game, sayingthey “can’t comprehend the lack of a GOTY nomination,” joining thousands of other fans who felt, and still feel, the same way towards the end of last year. The fan did say that the game shouldn’t have won the prestigious gaming award, and thatBaldur’s Gate 3was definitely more deserving of the title, but it was still odd forHogwarts Legacyto not get a nomination at the very least.

That being said while fans enjoyed their time with the game, many have opposed the idea it should have been in the running for GOTY, saying there were several 2023 releases that were more deserving, like the aforementionedBaldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2andResident Evil 4(2023) to name a few.

Depending on the support the game receives in the coming months, there’s every chanceHogwarts Legacycould be nominated for some post-launch update awards towards the end of 2024.
