Poor Aloy, she just can’t catch a break. The Horizon series always seems to face some stiff competition, whether that’s on its initial release or whenever it makes the jump from PlayStation to PC.
WhenHorizon Zero Dawnwas first released the game had to face off againstThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was an unfair fight, some might say. Who could compete against Zelda and Link? While the competition was there,Horizon Zero Dawnstill sold millions of copies, but as the PC release ofHorizon Forbidden Westgets closer, the game will have to duke it out again.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is coming to PC very soon

“I don’t really play Horizon, but damn does somebody over at Sony really hate that series.”says a Redditorin an ongoing conversation about howthis keeps happening. “I think it can be considered a kink at this point”says another commenter, and perhaps it’s someone at Sony who just likes to screw over their own franchises at this point.
To be fair, players are likely to buy both, however they could end up waiting for a sale on one of the other. The issue is only apparent as, nowadays, we seem to get banger after banger every other week, so no matter what date is chosen, it’s going to have to compete with something great.
