Horizon Zero Dawn fans disappointed by Horizon 3 update

I should know patience.

AfterHorizon Zero Dawnlaunched, it was a five year gap before Aloy’s adventure continued inHorizon Forbidden West.

And yet, just a couple of years on fromForbidden West’s release, I’m chomping at the bit for the franchise’s next instalment.

I wish I could say that last year’sBurning Shoresexpansion eased my woes, but it only made me more desperate to see Aloy back in action - especially as she now has new love interest Sekya in tow.

Unfortunately, there is quite a wait ahead.

That places the game’s release in 2027 or beyond.

Horizon Zero Dawn RemasteredandLEGO Horizon Adventuresare both set to entertain us this year. Take a look at the former game below.

It’s been known for several years now that a Horizon multiplayer game is in the works.

It’s something Guerrilla has alluded to several times, namely in job adverts.

There was also someFortnite-esque leaked footage that surfaced online quite some time ago, although whether that was real or not was unable to be verified.

Sony’s push into live service has so far been, let’s say, disastrous.

AndConcordisn’t the only piece of evidence. You need only look at howNaughty Dogwasted years developing aThe Last of Usmultiplayer.

I truly do hope that Guerrilla’s attempt works out, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried.

“Are they still gonna be doing the online game? I don’t know. There are a lot of questions around their strategy and around that online game that I certainly have.Horizon Onlineis their next project, not whatever the third single player game looks like, so that one might be a ways off,” he continued.

I’d like to add that despite my worry, I do quite like the idea of a Horizon multiplayer - although I’d much prefer the third mainline instalment, if we’re being honest.

And it feels like many share my view.

“On the one hand, I’m excited for the multiplayer game, but on the other, it sucks [that] I’m going to have to wait until 2030 to conclude Aloy’s journey,”wroteTwitter user Charrsixx.

“Very risky, has to be unbelievable or autofail,”addedenterpriserx.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for something good.
